Mary Louise Bennett, 86, of Janesville, WI passed away at Our House Memory Care in Janesville on Tuesday, April 12, 2011. Mary was born in Stevens Point, WI on December 11, 1924, the daughter of Victor and Irene (Montgomery) Okray. She married Robert J. Bennett on April 2, 1945. He died on February 11, 2001. Mary was a graduate of Stevens Point State Teachers College (UW-Stevens Point). She formerly taught school at Plover, WI. She had been a Janesville resident since 1960 and worked for several years at the A.S.C.S. office in Janesville.

Surviving are 1 son, Michael (Meri Lynn) Bennett of Janesville, 1 daughter, Patricia Bennett of Madison, a son-in-law, John Elliott of Madison, 1 sister, Carol Okray of Janesville, 2 granddaughters, Mary (Jeremy) Livingston of Los Angeles, CA, Delia (Michael) Rudnitzki of Janesville, 4 great-grandchildren, Carter, Caden, Kenna and Ashley. In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy Elliott and a brother, Robert Okray.

Services will be at 12 Noon, Thursday, April 14, 2011 at Milton Lawns Memorial Park Chapel, 2200 Milton Avenue, Janesville with Chaplain Pam Lojewski officiating. Visitation will be at the chapel from 11 a.m. Thursday until the time of services. Entombment will be in Milton Lawns Mausoleum.
